Meet Kirsten

Kirsten Vernon (formerly Dixson) partners with media and tech executives to plan and write their next chapter (and beyond) with purpose. With her keen insight and two decades of strategic career and brand consulting experience, she's created a unique, effective approach to standout bios, executive resumes, and LinkedIn profiles.

One of personal branding’s pioneers, Kirsten is the coauthor of the seminal book on personal branding, Career Distinction (Wiley). She also knows personal branding inside and out because she was the sole facilitator of Reach's Personal Branding Certification Program for five years, training more Personal Branding Strategists (in 40+ countries) than any other person in the world. She coined the term "branded bio" when she was serving as a Master Coach on the development of a cutting-edge branding program for partners at a leading global professional services firm. Kirsten was also a personal branding coach for high-potential leaders at Microsoft.

After graduating from Vassar College and working in marketing and publishing in New York and Los Angeles, Kirsten earned a Certificate in Adult Career Planning and Development from New York University (2-year program). In 2004, she was in the very first group of Reach-Certified Personal Branding Strategists. She is also a Certified Job & Career Transition Coach, Certified Professional Resume Writer, and Certified Employment Interview Professional. She's shared her knowledge in a number of career books (including Personal Branding for Dummies) and as a speaker.
